Designing in black and white
If your design, prototype, or concept doesn’t look good in black and white, chances are it’s not going to ‘work’ in color. Being a color-blind designer, I learned over 2 decades ago to work with a set palette and to check my design without color.
When working with multiple concepts, color can also be distracting to some clients, starting with a black and white concept might help a difficult client focus on the overall piece.
Designing in black and white also helps ensure proper contrast, which is essential for meeting accessibility requirements.
