Empathy across the globe

I live on a farm in the sticks. I’m 30 minutes away from a box store. 45 minutes to a good Thai restaurant. But we still have fiber, smoking fast internet. I have friends and family that can’t imagine living out here in the boondocks.

Can you imagine walking miles to get to an internet café? Or a .99 cent app costing as much as a meal? These are just some of the challenges people deal with daily. I couldn’t help but feel a bit clueless and in awe of how much I take for granted when I read the article “Nine ways designers can be more empathic and effective when creating products for emerging markets.” Check it out to learn more.
